About Kara Moore

I am a proud Centreville native who has been playing and learning the game of golf since the age of 7. I played varsity golf at Westfield High School in Chantilly, VA, and went on to found the women's golf team at Marymount University. With 8 years as an LPGA Class A Professional under my belt, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the game to every lesson I teach.

My coaching style reflects a “KISS” (Keep It Simple, Stupid) philosophy, helping my students understand the key fundamentals while making the game approachable and fun. I specialize in working with juniors, helping them develop their skills to compete at the high school and college levels.

Additionally, I founded the First Tee program at Oakmont Golf Course and received the 2021 Nyles Smith Coach of the Year Award from First Tee DC. I am also a coach at Chantilly High School, where I have the privilege of working with talented young golfers and helping them develop their skills.

My success today is largely due to the coaches who supported me during my youth. They believed in me and were always there, offering encouragement every step of the way. My ultimate goal is to provide a life-long golf experience for everyone I work with, making sure they enjoy the game at any age.
